Why it Matters

On December 10 and 11, 2009 we called together 90 children in Kenya and distributed to them food and our natural treatment. On January 2, 2010 I received the first report on how the children were faring. ”the children are responding very very well. Most of them have their skin turn very clean and their general health has changed.” On February 15, Pastor Jumba emailed: “Again the response on the children remain outstanding.” He also informed me over the phone that they were gaining needed weight.

On March 10, 2010, the children returned for CD4 testing to wrap up the study. The difference in their health was wonderful. Parents were saying, "Look at my child. Hold my child. This is the one that was so sick 3 months ago". Emotions ran high that day. Children who 3 months earlier had just moped around, now ran, laughed and played. All but a handful of children seemed not to be sick at all.

When the International CDC director for Kenya saw the test results, the weight gains, and the general condition of the children, he became quite excited. 60% of the children showed improvement in CD4 test results, even though only 2 of the children were on any AIDS medication. Because of his excitement, he volunteered to help with funding for viral load testing for 10 of the children. He asked that these children be kept on the program for another 3 months, and that they be tested for viral load immediately, and again at the end of 3 months, to see the longer term results of the product.

Here are the results from the study

Vast Improvements

  • 33 of 56 children showed an improvement in lab test results
  • 5 out of 56 children maintained weight and 41 out of 56 gained weight.
  • Many of the children were sick or bedridden at the beginning of the study. By the end of the study only a few were not a picture of health, as they ran around and played.
  • Many of the children who had skin problems common to AIDS patients had clear skin by the end of the study.

Promising Results

  • None of the children died during the study, though without the study intervention potentially as many as 10 were sick enough to have died.
  • When the 56 children came for testing at the end of the study, guardians were so excited at the wonderful improvement in their children that they kept exclaiming, “Look at my child, look at my child, hold my child, this is the same child who was sick 3 months ago”.
